Your household stays yours.
The short version
Homemates keeps everything on your iPhone. There is no account, no server of ours, and no analytics or advertising SDK in this version. We cannot see your household.
What Homemates stores
Homemates (people, pets, shared spaces), the things you track, their cycles and refresh records, spare counts, refresh days, photos you choose to attach, and your settings. All of it lives in the app's own storage on this device.
Where it goes
Nowhere on its own. Your data is included in your iCloud device backup if you have backups switched on — that is Apple's backup of your iPhone, under your Apple Account, not a Homemates service. Exporting a file sends it only where you choose to share it.
Notifications and widgets
Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS; nothing is sent through a server. Widgets and Spotlight read the same on-device store. Private notifications hides names from the Lock Screen and pauses the Spotlight index.
Permissions
Notifications are requested only when you turn on a reminder for a specific thing. The camera and photo library are used only when you choose to attach a photo, and the photo is stored inside the app on this device. Homemates does not ask for location, contacts, or microphone access.
Deleting your data
Delete a thing to remove it and its records, or delete the app to remove everything it stored on this device. Export first if you want to keep a copy. The sample household can be removed at any time in Settings.
Children
Homemates is a general household organiser, not directed at children, and does not collect personal information from anyone.
Not health advice
Every cycle in Homemates is a convenience setting you choose. The app never tells you when something is safe or unsafe to use, and offers no medical, dental, or veterinary guidance.
